In Wednesday’s daily bulletin, attention was focused on the SPDR S&P 500 Exchange-Traded Fund Trust in the listed options market, which saw increased put option activity. The June puts targeted 165 and traded for .77c, with an implied volatility of 27.9%. In Europe, we report on how AP3, the Third Swedish National Pension Fund, is looking to continue to increase its exposure to products that harvest risk premia across multiple asset classes in 2015, according to Mårten Lindeborg, head of asset management in Stockholm. Elsewhere, the Chicago Board Options Exchange has announced that it will list options on two MSCI indexes next month, looking to tap a market that is seeing increased over the counter flows. The options on MSCI Emerging Markets Index and MSCI EAFE Index will launch next month, with IMC Financial Markets as the designated primary market-maker.
