0DTE Volumes Climb In January But Concerns Still Linger
Feb 5, 2024
Activity in the Standard & Poor’s 500 zero days to expiration options market continues to grow. Flow into the options has averaged more than USD800 billion notional a day so far in 2024, leaving year-to-date volumes up 40% versus the average last year, according to UBS Global Markets. Part of the notional volume increase is reflecting the fact that the index is higher this year versus last year.
