​Asia Weekly Flow Report: HSCEI Divs Shock, NKY Two-Way Flow, RV In Focus

It was a relatively quiet week for flow in Asia ex-Japan, with the only shock coming in HSCEI as the majority of China’s biggest banks moved to cut dividend payouts—we look at the reaction from hedge funds around this story. Elsewhere, traders noted positive two-way flow in Nikkei this week, with sector plays and contingent strategies continuing to be favoured, although in lesser volumes compared to the previous week. Relative value trades against the SPX were again in focus as vols in the U.S. moved higher during the latter part of the week.
