Asian-based investors are showing interest in fund-linked structured products, another sign of increased demand in innovative structures in the region. The move comes as investors seek more was to gain yield. One recent example of a structure sold by UBS was a fund-linked principal protected deal referencing an Allianz US High Yield Fund. The structure had a tenor of five years. In the U.S., Citi lost its head of LatAm equities recently, as well as two structured equity sales executives. U.S. interest in China is continuing this week, with one strategist eyeing risk reversals on FXI. In flow, call spreads were seen on embattled coal producer Walter Energy.
