Financials saw some action today in the options flow market, with the XLF ETF and JPMorgan seeing hefty call trading. Apple was also the target of sizable options trading, with one investor trading an April straddle 50,000x at 130, costing USD4.74. Also in the U.S., buysiders are seeing the value in voice trading, hitting the phones to their brokers. But, they’re doing it selectively, depending on the type of strategy their employing, the structure of the trade and market conditions. Meanwhile in Asia, UBS in Hong Kong is advising investors to take a look at down-and-in calls on the Indian equity benchmark to position for short-term consolidation amid profit taking. In the people and firms’ section, BAML lost one of its senior equity salesmen today.
