The Consumer Discretionary Select SPDR Fund saw a whopping trade at about 1pm today, with 100,000 June 73 puts trading for about USD0.73. The trade was followed by another 80,000 puts targeting strikes between 75 and 70, with the Russell 2000 also seeing increased weekly call trading. SPY was also the target of further put trading, with investors looking to play the potential impacts of June’s Fed meeting. In the people and firms’ section, The former co-head of equities Asia Pacific at Société Générale in Hong Kong has joined a multi strategy hedge fund, also in Hong Kong, while in Europe, a senior equity volatility trader at Société Générale in London, is set to join Morgan Stanley in a similar role, also in London.
