Yahoo and oil saw the biggest options flow in the U.S. today, with USO mainly attracting put flow, while the tech giant saw 40,000 May straddles targeting 45. Also in the U.S., we take a look at the fixed index annuities market. It seems insurance carriers are looking for more complexity in the underlyings, with custom indices now accounting for 30% of the market and rising. In Europe, Solactive has launched a FinTech index as an underlying for open-end index structured certificates from UBS. The Solactive FinTech 20 index tracks the largest companies active in the financial technology market. FinTech companies are qualified by technological innovation in segments such as retail banking, digital wallets, mobile baking, trading, lending & crowdfunding, security & privacy, payments & transactions.
