Daily Wrap – Funds Tag Best Asia Banks, Natixis Hires Sales Chief
Sep 14, 2015
In the U.S. listed markets today, Chesapeake Energy saw heavy options flow as an investor bought close to 200,000 put options on the energy firm, targeting a price of 8. The Emerging Markets ETF also saw increased spread trading, targeting Dec. and Jan. expirations at 36. Also in today’s coverage, we look at some of the initial findings of this year’s research, which ranks hedge funds’ top Asia liquidity providers. Société Générale, BNP Paribas, UBS, Goldman Sachs and HSBC were named as the best liquidity providers on vanilla Asia underlying derivatives, according to the results. In the people and firms section, Natixis has hired a new head of EQD sales from Jefferies. We’d also like to welcome Ryan Sachetta to our commentary team. He sits in Chicago and will cover all things listed. You can reach him at sachetta@eqderivatives.com if you have any pressing article ideas you think need investigation. And finally, Happy Rosh Hashanah! All the best for the year ahead.
