Chinese markets reopened after a week-long holiday and the U.S. Federal Reserve’s Federal Open Market Committee released minutes from the Sept. meeting. The FOMC expressed concerns over a slowing China and rising market volatility, among others. VIX Weeklys options debuted to mixed reaction, with initial wide markets and thin liquidity. We report how Eurostoxx 50 long-dated convexity is increasing at a greater rate than HSCEI’s. Meanwhile, Andrew Lim has joined Schroders as a solutions manager focused on liability risk.
