Institutional Investors Take Fresh Look At Bitcoin-Tied Investments

A handful of institutional investors are pondering Bitcoin exposure, however there aren’t many planning to invest in the cryptocurrency any time soon. For a long time, institutional investment in Bitcoin was hindered by strict investment mandates and regulatory compliance, but now that Bitcoin has been recognized by some regulators, this issue is far less of an obstacle than it used to. While investor interest has definitely piqued, a JPMorgan survey of over 3,000 institutional investors in March found that 78% are not planning on investing in cryptocurrencies any time soon, though a majority said crypto is here to stay.
