QIS, Machine Learning Make Inroads Into China Wealth Products

Quantitative investment strategies and machine learning techniques have arrived in Mainland China and the global investment banking community wants a slice of the action. The strategies are being billed as low risk to a client base used to sitting their money in principal-protected investments. A recent regulatory change, however, has opened the country’s investors to a much broader range of investment options. Whether they are ready to take the additional risk is yet to be tested.
