Ryan Labs Launches Flight-To-Quality Risk Premia

​Ryan Labs’ Defensive Risk Premia strategy was designed to help institutional investors such as large pensions, endowments and insurance companies maintain their equity investments while protecting against downside risk, said Peng Zhou, managing director at Sun Life Investment Management. The strategy is not entirely new: it got its start in 2016, as part of Sun Life’s own General Account, and it won its first client mandate last year. But it launched to the wider market late in February and the timing could not have been better.
