TOBAM’s Puhan Favors Systematic Equity Hedging To Manage Selloffs

Tatjana Puhan, deputy chief investment officer at TOBAM, said systematic equity hedging strategies, such as put collars, should be considered as a way to avoid equity market selloffs moving forward. She said clients are using these strategies as important building blocks of their strategic asset allocation and are currently tactically overweighted.
