Varma’s Vatanen Expects Value To Turn Around In 2020

Varma’s Kari Vatanen is considering increasing the value tilt in his alternative risk premia portfolio with the expectation that the performance of value will turnaround in the year ahead. Vatanen’s call follows that of Cliff Asness of quant giant AQR, who last week told investors he believes it’s time to increase value weight “somewhat”.
