Vol Players Side-Eye Stock Move, Stay On Sidelines

U.S. volatility market players were sitting on their hands on Friday afternoon after watching the Standard & Poor’s 500 give back a bounce on the open that had looked set to end a multi-day rout. The Cboe’s Volatility Index extended its march upward but buysiders were hesitant to try and bargain shop amid still-choppy trading, officials said.
