Karthik Gadiraju

Karthik Gadiraju is head of derivative strategy and trading at Venerable. He has successfully led hedge strategy development, trading, quantitative analytics teams, day-to-day management of hedge programs and an extensive transformation of strategy for equity and interest rate risks. Serves in Senior Leadership and Management Risk and Investment Committee driving key strategic decisions on hedging and M&A/reinsurance transactions. Prior to this, he served as head of capital market solutions at predecessor company Voya Financial and held several roles in hedging and risk management of variable and fixed indexed annuities, as well as fixed indexed hedging and risk management roles with Aviva Investors, Deutsche Bank and Societe Generale. He holds a master's degree in quantitative and computational finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an undergraduate degree in mathematics and management from BITS in Pilani, India.
