Dr. Samuel Hikspoors currently serves as senior director, portfolio construction and risk at Trans-Canada Capital (TCC). Prior to joining TCC, Samuel held various leadership roles, including chief risk officer and managing director at BEN, vice president of quantitative strategies at Sage Advisory and co-head of capital market solutions at Invesco. He started his career as an associate portfolio manager at CPP Investments and was also a teaching assistant in the Masters of Mathematical Finance program at University of Toronto (U of T).
Samuel holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Finance from University of Toronto, a M.Sc. in Mathematics from University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics from Université de Montréal. He has published numerous research papers and was awarded the 2006 Doctoral Award from U of T’s Department of Statistics for his work in mathematical finance. He is also a CAIA charterholder.
