As head of equities solutions at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), Shuichi Akito leads the development and growth of HKEX's equities and index solutions business. He works closely with clients and market participants to drive product strategy and innovation across HKEX's equities ecosystem, including customised index solutions for institutional clients and partners.
Shuichi brings nearly two decades of experience in quantitative investment strategies, index solutions and equity derivatives. Prior to joining HKEX, he was APAC Head of QIS Solution Structuring at Barclays Investment Bank. He previously held senior structuring roles at J.P. Morgan, Société Générale and Credit Suisse across Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. Shuichi holds a BA in Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and is a CFA Charterholder.
