Stephane Mattatia

Stephane Mattatia is managing director, global head of derivatives licensing and thematic indexes at MSCI since March 2020. He is part of MSCI’s Index Product leadership team. In this role, he works together with research and coverage, to refine, create and grow innovative indexes, for both thematic and structured products needs and drive leadership in the industry.

Stephane joined MSCI in July 2018 as head of index for EMEA and global head of thematic index. He focused on driving index growth in EMEA and launch MSCI thematic offer. He was previously with Societe Generale CIB where he held
numerous positions over a twelve year period. Most recently, he was head of product strategy, equity derivatives at Societe Generale CIB. Some of his other positions at Societe Generale include head of global macro Sales and chairman of Societe Generale Securities. Earlier in his career, Stephane spent seven years at the French Ministry of Industry. Stephane obtained an MBA from Corps des Mines, Paris and a degree from Ecole Polytechnique, Palaiseau.
