Andries (Chris) Steyn

Chris is a seasoned financial risk management professional with a wealth of experience in the investment management industry. He has a proven track record in performance and risk consulting, where he has successfully advised on and implemented risk and performance systems across multi-asset classes for leading financial institutions in Europe, the UK, and South Africa. Since joining QIA’s investment strategy team in 2019, he has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing risk analytics within the organization.

Chris holds a BCom (Hons) in statistics from the University of Pretoria, as well as advanced certifications such as Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM).
