Eddie Cheng

Eddie Cheng is the head of international portfolio management for the systematic edge multi-asset team at Allspring Global Investments, where he manages outcome-oriented multi-asset investment solutions as well as leads its data intelligence research unit. He joined Allspring from its predecessor firm, Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM). Prior to joining WFAM, Eddie was a senior portfolio manager at Schroders. Before that, he was a portfolio manager at Schroders NewFinance Capital. Earlier, he served as a research analyst at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica.

Eddie is also a guest lecturer in the postgraduate program at Warwick Business School and a regular contributor to the academic publication. He began his investment industry career in 2007. Eddie earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in transportation engineering from National Taiwan University and a master’s degree in financial economics from the University of Oxford. He has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.
