Giulio Occhionero

Giulio Occhionero is currently SVP, head of quant research and development at Al Ramz P.J.S.C, Abu Dhabi.

He received his MSc in nuclear engineering from University of Rome La Sapienza in 1996. His course of study was a hybrid program with theoretical physics, eventually leading to a thesis in applied mathematics, on the Boltzmann Equation.

His research focus has always been on the application of the Boltzmann Equation to probabilistic frameworks, in the domain of trading strategies and derivatives theory. He left academics and worked over the years in the financial arena for private companies, investment banks and funds.
