Guido Chagas

Guido Chagas is the head of QIS LatAm at Santander Asset Management, which he joined in 2019. Previously, from 2014 to 2019, he was senior portfolio manager at Itaú Asset Management focused on dynamic allocation models, alternative risk premia and systematic multi-asset class portfolios. Before that, he worked at BankBoston as systematic portfolio manager and in investment advisory for high-net-worth clients, at Standard Bank as structured product advisor involving exotic and hybrid commodities and at Humaitá Investimentos as a partner and senior portfolio manager.

Guido has a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Escola Politécnica – USP, a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, a master’s degree in finance and a Ph.D in economics from Escola de Economia de São Paulo – FGV.
