Hiroshi Sawagashira

Hiroshi Sawagashira is deputy head of strategic investment solutions group and head of quant strategies team at Asset Management One. He is responsible for research and management of various multi-asset funds as well as multi-strategy funds. He started his career at Mizuho Corporate Bank (now Mizuho Bank) as a proprietary trader, and developed his now 22 year long quantitative expertise through various assignments including 8 years at Mizuho Alternative Investments in New York, managing a number of products including CTA, quantitative global macro, and customized and generic risk premia solutions, and Mizuho Trust & Banking (which later integrated to become AMO), where he served as fund manager and quantitative researcher. He earned an MSc from Keio University Graduate School of Science and Technology and is a Certified Member Analyst of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).
