Hiroyuki Makino

Hiroyuki Makino is a portfolio manager at Vertex Investment Solutions, having been a founding member since the company’s establishment in 2022. He leads the multi-asset team within the quantitative investment department and is actively involved in fund management, investment advisory, product development, and quantitative model development.

Prior to joining Vertex Investment Solutions, he was responsible for ALM (Asset Liability Management) in the investment planning department at the Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company.

He holds an MEng in industrial engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology and an MSc in quantitative finance and risk management from the University of Michigan.
