June Kim

June Kim joined Employees Retirement System Of Texas, a USD28bn plan, in 2015, and currently serves as portfolio manager and global investment analyst in public equities. She is also chair of the digital assets working group, which was founded in December 2021. In public equities, June’s primary coverage included consumer, tech, internet, media & gaming for the international portfolios with an increased focus on emerging markets in recent years. 

Prior to her move to Austin, TX, she served as an analyst at Advent Capital Management Group, LLC in New York since 2010. She was responsible for investments across the capital structure spanning from equities to high yield securities. Additionally, June was responsible for the macroeconomic top-down overlay to the bottom-up investment process across multiple portfolios. She also spearheaded the special situations effort, which had a focus on tactical equity investments with positive catalysts and asymmetric return profiles. 

June has 15 years of buy-side experience. She received her Bachelor of Arts in economics and French at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In her spare time, June’s active pursuits include programming languages and surfing.
