Maria Penaloza

Maria Penaloza is director, equity derivative sales at J.P. Morgan. Maria was born and raised in Colombia. She went to University in Durham where she studied economics.

Throughout her career, Maria has had a strong focus on both structured products and delta one. She started her career in August 2010 at Barclays where she initially worked in the investor solutions team and then moved to Delta One.  In March 2015, Maria joined J.P. Morgan on the Delta One Sales desk where she covered both institutional and hedge fund clients.  She now reports to Tobie Duprey, who runs the UK equity derivative sales team.  For the last two years she has been managing the sales team covering UK private banks for structured products, whilst still maintaining her key delta one accounts.

Maria is heavily involved in the firm’s diversity agenda and this year organized the first JPM EMEA EDG Senior Client’s Dinner which provided an opportunity for senior female clients to network.  She also completed a Founders Forward Mentoring Program where she mentored a female entrepreneur in the local community to help their business.
