Masanori Ono

Masanori Ono is a vice president at BlackRock, where he leads the Capital Markets team within BlackRock Japan’s ETF Capital Markets department. In this role, he is responsible for delivering market insights, execution services and product structure expertise to iShares clients. His team manages relationships with broker-dealers and exchanges, providing critical trading and distribution expertise to the market. Additionally, the team supports iShares’ initiatives related to ETF product and market structure issues, ensuring a robust and efficient ETF
ecosystem.

Before joining BlackRock in 2023, Masanori accumulated 16 years of diverse experience across various roles, including program/algorithmic/equities sales trader, delta one dealer and multi-asset FinTech project manager. His career spans several prestigious firms such as Credit Suisse Securities Japan, Simplex Inc., Instinet Pacific Ltd., Nomura Securities Japan and JP Morgan Securities Japan.

Masanori holds a master’s degree in environmental studies from the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences at The University of Tokyo.
