Matheus Abuchaim

Matheus Abuchaim is partner, portfolio manager and deputy CIO at Gauss Capital, based in Sao Paulo. He joined Gauss in 2016, before its spinoff from Credit Suisse AM, where he manages a portfolio focused on macro and systematic strategies applied to G10, Latam and CEEMEA rates derivatives and FX. He was also responsible for developing and implementing the portfolio optimization tool at Gauss’ flagship fund. He started his career at Citibank’s structured products desk, before joining Itaú BBA’s FX trading desk. Matheus graduated from the University of São Paulo with a bachelor’s in business administration. He also has an MIT professional certificate in machine learning and has published articles in Valor Econômico about macro and investing.
