Michael Golding

Michael Golding is the head of trading for Optiver US LLC, a proprietary trading firm and market maker active on major US derivatives exchanges covering stocks, futures, options and OTC. Since joining Optiver in 2008, Michael has held trading and management positions in the firm’s Sydney and Amsterdam offices, before taking up his current role in Chicago in 2020. In addition to continuing Optiver’s US expansion in listed derivatives products, Michael is an expert on market structure who has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. A board member at the MIAX Options Exchange, Michael’s great passion outside of trading is Australian Rules Football and his team ‘The Bombers’.
