Michael Syn

Michael Syn has management responsibility for SGX’s equities business, across both the stock market and futures market. Michael is director and CEO for SGX’s regulated businesses for securities trading, central depository, derivatives trading and derivatives clearing.

Prior to this role, Michael led the exchange’s successful derivatives business in equity, commodity and currency assets. He joined SGX in 2011 with a background in investment banking and investment management.

Michael serves on the council of the Economic Society of Singapore and the board of Sentosa Development Corporation. He graduated with master’s and doctoral degrees from Cambridge University and attended the Harvard Advanced Management Program.
