Nelson Cabral

Nelson Cabral is portfolio manager in the quantitative strategies team at DGAM where he manages several quantitative and systematic strategies. Nelson also takes part in quantitative research focusing on the development of investment strategies on several asset classes. Most of the strategies managed by Nelson have a pronounced ESG focus.

Nelson joined DGAM in 2021, following the firm’s acquisition of Hexavest, an asset management firm renown globally for its top-down strategies. At Hexavest, he was a member of Quantitative Strategies team as Portfolio Manager managing the firm’s quantitative and systematic strategies.

With a strong track record, Nelson’s expertise extends to his previous roles at Hexavest, MMA Finance and Crédit Agricole S.A., showcasing his diverse background in asset management. Holding an M.Sc. in computer science and Chartered Financial Analyst charter, Nelson brings a unique blend of technical prowess and financial acumen to his strategic role at DGAM.
