Robby Knopp

Robby Knopp is the co-head of S&P options trading for Optiver US. He joined the firm in 2009 as a trader on the Russell and Nasdaq Options team before moving to Oil Options. From there, Robby went on to lead the Agriculture Options Team in 2012, and was later appointed co-head of S&P Options Trading in 2016.

Throughout his time trading S&P, Robby has been instrumental in driving the team’s strategy and growth, with a particular focus on market making and position taking in short-dated options. Robby is committed to bringing liquidity, transparency, and best execution to the market. He has played a key role in launching Optiver Execution Services, which will enable institutional customers to connect directly to Optiver’s trading teams in US Index and Equity Derivatives. He became a partner with Optiver in January 2023.

Robby is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he earned a BS in economics, and is an avid fan of the Wolverines.
