Ruy Ribeiro

Ruy Ribeiro has been a member of the faculty at Insper since January 2020 as a senior research fellow and associate professor of finance. Beforehand, he held academic positions at PUC-Rio, where he also held the Vinci Partners chair, and Wharton. He also held positions in the financial markets as global head of asset allocation and solutions and head of Latam quantitative investment solutions at Santander Asset Management; head of systematic funds and alternative risk premia at Itaú Asset Management; head of quantitative investment strategies, head of global commodity strategy and global market strategist at J.P. Morgan in London; and head of strategy research and development at HSBC in London. He received both Ph.D. and MBA degrees in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds a BA in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University in Rio de Janeiro.
