Shayne McGuire

Shayne McGuire runs the emerging markets portfolio as well as the gold fund for
Teacher Retirement System of Texas, a $250 bn pension fund.

Prior to TRS, Shayne was a senior analyst for ING Barings and Deutsche Bank in
Mexico City, where he was twice recognized as being among the top Latin
American analysts by Institutional Investor.

Shayne has a degree in history and political economy from Fordham University
and an M.A. in history and MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Shayne is
author of three books on precious metals investing, including Hard Money: Taking
Gold Investment to a Higher Level and The Silver Bull Market.
