Sonin Kwon

Sonin Kwon is the head of variable annuity hedging in the investment management group of MassMutual. She is responsible for the portfolio management of the variable annuity, fixed indexed annuities and registered index-linked annuity hedging programs. Sonin joined MassMutual as an actuarial analyst in 2000, joined Babson Capital as a director in the quantitative management group in 2006, and transferred to MassMutual in 2014.

Prior to joining MassMutual, Sonin worked mostly on financial modeling for a large insurance consulting firm. Sonin holds a Ph.D in mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative
Investment Analyst, Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and a member of the
American Academy of Actuaries.
