Stefan Thomsen

Stefan Thomsen is a senior derivatives trader at Union Investment. He is responsible for the trading of listed and OTC derivatives across the various asset classes equities, bonds, foreign exchange and commodities.

Stefan joined Union Investment in 2006 and since then has been working alongside derivatives trading on the implementation of new sell-side and buy-side products to identify potential derivative optimization strategies that will then be implemented in to Union’s portfolios.

He began his career in 1999 as a derivatives trader at Hypovereinsbank in Hamburg. In 2002, Stefan moved to HSH Nordbank where he was market maker for plain vanilla stock index options focusing on volatility trading for the index book.
