Stephen Kim

Stephen Kim is a director at TRS and the head of risk management within
the risk and portfolio management team. Stephen leads a team that is primarily
responsible for budgeting and managing the risk of the overall investment fund with the objective to enable the efficient use of risk. In addition, the risk and portfolio management team helps to formulate strategic asset allocation, identify potential areas of concern, certify new managers and manage a number of standalone investment strategies.

Prior to joining TRS in 2018, Stephen lead the risk advisory group within State Street’s risk analytics team, consulting with large institutional investors on risk management strategies, best practices and service implementations. Stephen has also worked in software development, both in and out of the financial sector.

Stephen earned his MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Computer Science.
