Steve Sanford

Steve Sanford is a senior index equity derivatives trader at Optiver, based in Sydney. Since joining the firm in 2012, he has taken on various trading roles across global markets and now leads the Single Stock desk.

Steve brings deep expertise in Hong Kong Single Stock Options, European and Asian Index Derivatives, and global equity relative value volatility strategies—developed through his time in both Optiver’s Sydney and Amsterdam offices.

In addition to his trading responsibilities, Steve has been instrumental in the growth of Optiver’s Institutional Sales team, which delivers sophisticated risk solutions and liquidity to a global client base including hedge funds, asset managers, and structured product issuers.
