Thomas Urano

Thomas Urano serves as co-chief investment officer and executive partner at Sage Advisory, where he is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of Sage’s investment strategies. As a member of the Executive Management Committee, he is pivotal in shaping the firm’s overall vision.

With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Thomas is a key member of Sage’s Investment Committee, and he leads the Portfolio Management Team, focusing on investment strategy, portfolio construction and risk analysis.

Thomas began his career in 1996 as a fixed income portfolio analyst with Morgan Keegan. He later joined Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York, where he traded fixed income assets and implemented investment strategy for institutional clients.

Thomas holds a B.A. degree in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, and he is a CFA Charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute. He has been widely recognized for his expertise in investment management and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. Thomas is often quoted in The Wall Street Journal, CNN, MarketWatch, Institutional Investor, and Bloomberg, among others.
